My personal experience

Now that you have a good understanding of who accountants are and what they can do for you, I'll tell you about my personal experience.

I reside in the USA and when I started my business I was responsible for everything, I knew what was coming in and what was going out and as such it was not difficult for me to keep accurate records . But then the business continued to grow and I now had more things on my plate, I slowly started forgetting about my accounts and you know keeping accurate records is essential for any business as it helps you to take calculated risks and make reasonable decisions.

My business continued to grow and over time I forgot the accounting records and focused on other aspects of the business as I needed the business to grow and like any other typical American , I finally understood as April 15th approached. which is the deadline to produce and submit your tax form. I started rushing through the math, did everything on time and submitted, as you guessed it, it had errors and the IRS quickly spotted them. They sent me an email informing me of my errors.

I'm a perfectionist and as such I don't like to fail or make mistakes, I knew I didn't have time to always go through every form correctly that's when I thought about engaging the services of chartered accountants. I contacted them and they started to manage all my accounting documents. Today, all my accounts are up to date and my taxes are filed promptly. I no longer have to worry about getting the numbers right, I can just focus on growing my business.
