52% of employees have another dream job

If we look at happiness in the workplace, it turns out that half of the employees have another dream job. 42% indicate that they experience a good connection. For more than half of all respondents (52%) their current job is not the work they would like to do deep down. On the other hand, 40% also indicate that they do not experience fulfillment of personal wishes and needs at work. This is apparent from the happiness survey by Schouten &Nelissen among more than 1,100 respondents.

64% of the respondents indicate that they are generally happy. Employees who actively take control to match their job to their own skills, interests and talents are happier than colleagues who do not. In addition, consciously distancing yourself from work plays an important role in balance and happiness.

The survey shows that 1 in 5 respondents find it difficult to let go of work and as a result can relax less at home and enjoy the other beautiful things that life has to offer. People who don't worry about work at home are happier (70% happy) than people who do (40% happy). Conversely, people who cannot concentrate at work due to their home situation are less happy (33% happy) than people who experience a stable home situation (69% happy).
