Women's networks to boost your career

Really useful?

What is it exactly ? Networks of alumni (trade, universities) or organized by professions (lawyers, doctors, web authors), by sectors (banking, high-tech), companies (Orange, IBM) or by function:executives, entrepreneurs...

Can it help me evolve?

Yes ! The higher you climb, the less the diploma and the experience are important. What matters ? The network ! The goal ? Help each other by sharing their experiences, their address book but also finding partnerships, technical advice, ways to change paths...

Is it different from a mixed network?

In a network of women, there is also a coaching dimension:there are keys to succeeding in going beyond this damn glass ceiling. This translates into monthly meetings with experienced speakers. We are in a logic of solidarity.

Isn't that a bit elitist?

For some, you have to show your credentials and be co-opted (system of "sponsorship"), but most are open and benevolent:we do not hesitate to inquire by email. For some, a cover letter is necessary, for others it is on request. You often have to pay for a membership (from 10 to 100 /year).

How to find the right one?

On Google, for example, we search for “network of women engineers”. There is no site that lists them all, but there are many in the book cited below. What if the voucher does not exist? We create it!
