If you are looking for an unusual and fun job, which will make you travel and certainly add the line "more original, you die" to your CV, we may have what you need. It's in Florida that it's happening. The job in question? Mermaid in a natural park, what else?! Florida's Weeki Wachee Springs State Park has a 400-seat water theater, which offers mermaid shows and, guess what?!, they're recruiting future Ariels! Interested? Be careful, there are still a few things to know...

Good physical condition

The idea of taking it easy in a mermaid tail and seashell bra is tempting, but recruitment is still tough. Indeed, the candidates must be in good physical shape and prove it, via aptitude tests, in particular 10 timed lengths, in the direction and against the current, and figures to be performed under water such as flips. Of course, once selected, you will have the right to a complete diving training, just to be able to do tricks like the “Mermaids Ferris wheel” (where the mermaids remove their mask and swim in circles, holding each other by the tail ). The water you have to swim in will be 23°C (when most pools are 28°C) and the hourly wage is €8.35.

Interested? Applications must be sent before January 11, 2018 to [email protected] and you must be able to go to the audition on January 13 (so have a visa)… If you get the job, you tell us, huh?!
